To begin the process of getting an apostille only for public documents issued in the United States of America or its territories, select the state, territory, or district where your documents originate from. If you have documents from different areas, you will need to purchase separate apostille services for each state, territory, or district.
Ordering and Submitting Publicly Recordable Documents
After you have placed your order, you will receive detailed instructions about how the process will work. With that in mind, we want to give you a heads-up that if you do not have your publicly recordable document available, you will need to order a copy of it first from the issuing authority (e.g., county clerk, courthouse, police department, etc.).
Due to certain privacy restrictions, we are unable to order vital records on your behalf. You must make these records requests yourself directly through the local, state, or federal agency that issues them. If you are unsure about which agency to contact, you can check USA.gov for more info.
